Now i know how it feels. now i know how crazy it could be prepared a wedding. but maybe everyone needs a little drama. yes, yes we are. Me and my mom, considered, calm and relax facing, a little bit of everything, compared to some people. one time, in the period of preparation, i made a little scene of drama by exaggerating and bragging about all the unfinished preparation on The Day-7. because.... i dont have anymore topic to talk about. everything fixed in my head (and my mom's) its only about time to get it done. but all the managerS, i wrote about on the previous entry, keep on bragging things, and sweating all the small stuff. my mom get hit right in the middle, get the panic attack, attacking me back, and there is a huge misunderstanding conflict, caused by my little princess drama.

Another story about The-Day panic attack. I, the bride, never calculate, never expect that, the Bugisnese wedding costume is weighing at least 15kg, with complex make-up, hair-do, top, bottom, and accessories. I think the hair do accessories stuck and inveterate on my head.

And if you have a workaholic girl/boyfriend, and getting married in near time, remind her/him from now on , DO NOT PUSHED HER/HIS OFFICE EMAIL ON THE WEDDING LEAVE, for God's sake!

And when your friends stays after the wedding, and if you take them to a stranded beautiful island near your city, please plan and organized it well, otherwise you will unexpectedly enchanted by the beauty of the colors, swimming like a monkey without putting any sunblock on your skins, and as a newly wedded couple, you will find it so hard in the night to even snuggle in bed because your skin hurts :S hahahah.

You will find it so nice, only to stare and watch your husband sleeping, making funny noises, ugly faces, and think its a pure happiness. yes, that's what i called post wedding drama, not yet arrived at the marriage life daily drama :P
Now i know how it feels, that a little emphasis would made your day instantly, as simple as reading all of the greetings on the wall of BINI + YOGI event on facebook.

Sharing your happiness about the wonderful news, is one of the best moment before getting married. It was a pleasure for me to tell them in person, all the important people in my life, request their blessings, and request the honor of their presence on the happy day.

but its kind of ironic when i really miss to share my happiness to the one whose been questioning and bitching about my happiness. even without action, a shipment of drama- supposed to be all capital, is sent to me. well, its a dust, and i wear glasses fortunately.

When you are getting married, prepare for some unexpected invasion, out of nowhere, that will turns your world upside down. it feels like.... fallin in love. your heart will casually skipped a beat, get randomly disordered. Exactly like fallin in love, but particularly by decors, vendors, families, relatives, the wedding managerS (in indonesian wedding, people consider themselves as the managers-plural) and other surprises. But despite it all, what am i without them ? :) Thank you all.

you cant get it all. fabrics for the bridesmaids sent, all over the country (brag), but few of them couldn't make it due to some unexpected affairs. my childhood girlfriend, suddenly can't make it for a compulsory training, and she cant change the batch. our matchmaker, the one whose been introduce us to each other, didn't get her permission on leave, and the first flight on monday is not too early enough for her to get to office straight from Makassar. A girlfriend from high school cant make it for an known reason. A well-planned trip of my girlfriend and her husband failed of some reason nobody cant explain. force major. its God's will. my boss, my mentor, my inspiration, have to let his paid flight & hotel, expire. and last, my tante M & oom K, also cant make it. so yes, you cant have it all. But the rest give their best, their time, their energy to attend the event. THANK YOU. once, i am so pissed, and sad, because one of the girl choose to be at a concert/music festival in singapore, rather than to be at my wedding. yes, i am that demanding. i am that demanding for all the time and past we shared, i really wanted her to be here, at my wedding day!!!! i hate the idea of her not having anymore choices, because all the plan, the flight, the festival ticket have been purchased way long a go before i told her i am getting married. and then, God changed her mind, and i'm happy i can have her standing next to me with the rest of my best girls in my life on my wedding day :). One, catch a 2am flight back to the city she now works at, after the reception night. and some catch the earliest flight back to where they lived, and straight to work from the airport.

Thank you for your willingness wearing the same bridesmaids color, even though, you came from different affiliations, a total strangers and not knowing each other before. So happy to have my best girls together on that day :___). Thank you for being totally awesome in my life.

(this is more like a best friend dedication more than a wedding stories, hahah, well, my husband is so awesome you guys didn't have to know, and i don't want to blew his head away)

Got wedding gifts from Italy! yeaaaaaaaay. a make up kit, that, she think looks like me, everyone else see the present, and confirm it -___-' a golden brush for the bride to be, they believe if you brush your hair with a golden brush, it will make your heart golden too. sweet. and last, an ASCOLI leather bag! i love it, and it feels too much. the smell of the real leather, and the textures, and its softness. i slept with it a couple of days. Italian Invasion

4 years ago, 2008, flew away from far New castle, England, Sofia Ascoli had her intership at Dedato Indonesia, my working place. Long story short, it was really a nice moment to have her around me for a couple of months in Indonesia. In the office, in my flat, in bali, everywhere. I invited her to come again to Indonesia, and welcome her to stay at my place as long as she wanted, or needed. And i assumed the best moment to come back again, is to come to my wedding, anytime in the future. and she agreed. She promised me, that she will come back again, to attend my wedding.

Time flies, everything changed. and i missed seeing her in the land of Europe back in christmas 2009 due to the epic winter storm in Europe. From Milan, I arrived safe and sound in her hometown, Varese, Italy, while she stuck in Heathrow Airport, London because of the snow, and got delayed for 2 days :( Cant wait her any longer, because i needed to continue my journey of conquering Europe, and the schedule is so tight.

In the mid of last year, 2011, she facebook (or skype) me about her plan of going back to Indonesia. My offered still on, of course! and got excited about that plan. I suggest her to look about Tana Toraja, Ammatoa Bira, and Wakatobi Island, places around Makassar, my hometown, the city where i currently lived. By the end of 2011, she told me that she's buying the ticket for the end of January 2012, and a couple of week later, i told her that i was proposed, and got engaged! and that a wedding has planned on 12/02/12, and ask her to stay longer for the wedding!

Its Amazing, how the universe brought us together. I still cant believe how on earth, Sofia, and her mother, Lorena, whose still cant speak english, and her brother, Tomaso, whose english way much better than the first time i met him in Varese 3 years ago, be with me at the last days of my singleness. At my days of spa wedding package, the vendors meeting, the food tasting, the drama, and all. And she even bring the family drama caused by the magic hormones on her period in the middle of my pre-wedding drama :)) The funny part is, well for me its kind of funny, when this small legs big boobs Italian want to rent a car and drive herself from Makassar to Tana Toraja to Ammatoa Bira, and back to Makassar again after calculating the distance on google map ! after arguing like a real Italian, and Makassar, we got some better decision made. and some out-of-nowhere help from some out-of-nowhere people, Thank God. I hope the experience, and the view pays off the journey.

Another funny part is when i told her to bring semi formal dresses, a white dress for the reception, and there will be 4 wedding procession, mappasili/siraman, mappatemme'/pengajian, mappacci, mattajeng botting/akad nikah/holy matrimony, and resepsi/the wedding reception (it's even 5 procession!!) and she replied my message; 4 PROCESSION?? you the queen of England? i laugh my self to die. I wish everything will be fine and back to normal again Sof, i wish her happiness, and in fact, i wish she'll live sometime in the future, in Bali, or anywhere else nice and full of sunshine. I'm sorry i cant be with you all the time and fully support you, i have to support everything about the wedding :DD I wish i can come to Toraja and Ammatoa!! It was so nice having you, and Mamma, and Tomaso around my house, Mi Casa Su Casa, HAHAHAHA yeah its spanish..HAHAHA, my dad is thrilled by all of your presence, see? the more Tomaso talk to him, the more he will quack. well. My mother is not happy why all of you not staying at the house before you leave, she's so worried, "what kind of breakfast will they have tomorrow morning?"

i dont know. i really dont know why on earth i'm in to this event. one day before the event, i was tweeting that i was so boring & bored. and indeed, i was that BORING & BORED (to death!!!) a friend of mine contacting me that he were in Makassar, doing the event, and that he need me to spread the news of the event, tell my girlfriends (who lives in makassar) whose into branded premium bag about it! and so i did, tell some of mine.

on the day on, me & meilani hesitating wether to join in the shopping experience or not, we need to check on the venue, the people, and the condition..and of course the activity ( as we all known, i rather sleep or stay at home instead of going out for an unfamiliar activity (maybe thats why i was so boring & bored hahaha) and there we are, in the morning, fresh and perfumed, feeling confidence seeing the crowd :)) so in a blink, i found my self (and meilani) wearing that baby blue shirt with "REXONA sweat free, SHOPPING experience" on it, and a number tag cling in and still questioning, what on earth is happening, and why am i here, joining the event :))

5 hours later, i was cheering my self up & dancing like gorilla in front of the crowd, holding the paper bag of GUCCI, i won the competition! HAHAHAHA.. an energy consuming event (because we need to rush and run - i hate running in terms of this activity - to find some clue, all around mall panakukang - !!! - with more or less 100 others) and suddenly i dont feel that boring or bored anymore :))

i was thrilled when IAI contact us and share about their program event, and so excited when they ask me to join in the event, because its been a while since my last touch or brainstorms or interaction with the REAL people in the field of architecture/design/aesthetic world. and even more, what a nice surprise, at the day, i just know that the event also presenting Baskoro Tedjo as the speaker, presenting his works, sharing ideas and discussion. WOW. as far as i know he's the architect of Selasar Sunaryo, which is, i, admire a lot, and impressed a lot, where i spend some of my time and grew up as an art & design student in bandung, and where i exhibit my first real group exhibition (bandung new emergence 2006). (Andreas) Susandika would be very happy if he knows, that Pak Bas think that TheProject. architecture is really nice. even i feel flattered :)) . Another project is Wisma kalla, which is so familiar to me, because it's one of my interior project at dedato, some years ago. and today i got the chance to met the Architect in person :) And much more new project which is very impressive! say Hi to bapak Baskoro Tedjo :) i admire you, pak!

to perform my own qurban. one of my wishing list of 2011. but the condition is just not possible to incarnate it occurring to my financial statement. i was thinking this observance is one like the hajj. you can perform the religiously duty when you can afford to do so. but then i was thinking, that the prophet of all the muslim, Ibrahim As, willing to sacrifice his son's life as an act of obedience of Allah. A life, of his loved one, for Allah's command. a sacrifice for the love of Allah.

finally my boyfriend took me to a football match in the real football stadium, Gelora Bung Karno. i think to watch a real (by real i mean, a professional and world league championship or something like it) football match should be on the list of things you must to-do-before you die. (overrated? well.) or at least to watch our National team playing in a league. its....dramatic, to be there with all hundred thousand others singing our national anthem before the game starts. Sadly, the game was awful. but yeah, we were there, supporting our country! whether we're win or loose.

we did this since 2009 having a little date-out a day before/after lebaran. julesy & eddy. last year with kak nina . so this is suppose to be our 3rd time. what makes me feel so overwhelmed is that last year we talked about un-available and not-too-proper(?)-or-not-too-cool-hangout-places in makassar :D and at the 3rd year, we sit together, here, again, before/after lebaran, in our hometown, in makassar, in our own hangout & eatery! please do feel and treat it like home and yours :) again, julesy & eddy. and this time, Julesy bringing her mind blowing product of House of Jealouxy for TheProject. and in two days, Eddy will be leaving to New York City!! how life's changing so fast. too bad no picture of us with Eddy that day.

Another thing, i am ridiculously happy & overwhelmed having some good friends from different clicks in one table. crowded and gossipy!! :)) well, welcome to the small town social intercourse :D

Again, I have been disappeared for months, even almost a year (in real life, and society :p) But this time I’m not running away am going nowhere but planning TheProject. And all the business matters.

After the-oh-no!-the-not-so-dramatic phase of my life, the running away and the pathetic mental breakdown period (haha, I can say that now, what a snob! :)) I return home, without knowing where to go. The good thing, metaphorically, ‘my legs so tired, but at least I can feel it again, not too much, but at least I know its still there’

I learn how to walk again, enjoying my free life, wasting time and money, thinking nothing, heading nowhere. Restarting a life is kind of sucks, even more when time (and your age) is moving fast, and you’re broke, soul, mind, body, heart and wallet. Homeless, Jobless, boyfriend less. Got nothing in everything. (nah, I lied, I got my great families, and besties, they are EVERYTHING) so much for nothing, but nothing means so much.

And to mention, i am glad for my whole life, been touching my feet on the holyland. There, I start all of my restarting process, saying prayers and never ever knew or imagine how the answers could be. Magical.

Well enough said about the religious experiences, too personal.

After those serial of things, now I believe, and learned, you could never touch an Idea.

Its more or less a year now, since the very first time I got the idea. After so many sleepless nights, presentations, lots of arguments, surveys, ideas, dreams, supports from my parents & family, and a lot of faith, I construct the concept and finding all the way in the dark and solve the puzzles, collecting all the missing pieces, to be a huge idea waiting for a realization.

Anyway, I was contacting a long lost friend, a talented architect, Andreas Susandika. After a lot of meetings, uncounted glass of beverages, hopping from a café to another, together, he helps me translating THE IDEA and combines it in his own architectural way. A very long process, here and there, brainstorms, missed a lot of events, weddings, my besties dramas, being a single fighter, too occupied and thinking too much to realize the idea.

Long story short, here is the general list from the beginning;

TheProject : THE IDEA- the sketches - the architectural design proposal, preliminary design, and development- the interior ideas-the sketches-the color scheme- the image board- the furniture- the details- the furniture design- THE MONEY- the letters & agreements – the legal papers & government’s permits – the contractor – the schedule- the right time to built – the business plan –the financial plan- the places to order and buy- surveys- the development process – the sample and revision – the payment- the shipment- the kitchen – the tableware – the kitchen equipment- the shop- where to buy – the designers & labels – labeling & pricing – layouts & decorating – the suppliers –the kitchen team –the shop keeper – the marketing - the social media; website/twitter/facebook page –the graphic design – the logo – quotes- the menu – the food testing – the recruitment – the sponsorship and partnership – the artspace – the artist – the program - the sound system – the point of sales system – the cctv – the lighting, air condition and exhaust- the mechanical and electrical - the garden – the lampions- the layout and interior fitting- the clean up- the preparation – the declaration – the invitation - the grand opening – service and team building – the daily purchase and bills – the salary - ppfffiiuuuhhh, can I stop now? Oh, the future :)

But then again, after all of the hard work, this is only the beginning. It needs even harder work to keep it going, and still, I need a lot of good luck.

it tickles me a lot, when my personal assistant/human resource/staff affair/marketing/customer service/storage//parjo ♥ eca play the song si boss by neo in the office. i remember i play the song too, dedicated to my boss, so years ago.

i asked her about leaving me and back to the kitchen, join back the chefs. she got excited and cook me a plate of spaghetti. we just have to find someone to replace her, be my personal assistant. but trust is gain, earn, never given. that's the hard part.

no food at all at the house, so we are crossing over our garden and having afternoon meal at the backyard. bringing our own bowl of rice, and order creamy tagliatelle, grilled wings, chicken mushroom risotto, and last, special made for us, choco pancake with ice cream. lovely. such a perfect afternoon.

Its amazing the way God answers all the prayers. how God really moves in mysterious ways for our life. My ex boyfriend, and one of my bestfriend from early college period finally getting married! two extremely goodgood people, tied the knot and agreed for a lifetime partnership is like seeing a world peace campaign in realization.
